This focus on personalized education enhances the overall educational experience for all students.

ADMISSION GUIDELINES:

Families can visit the school, eat refreshments, and hear from the head and other important staff members about the SCHS ethos during Senior School Open Mornings.

Oversubscription Criteria:

There are no oversubscription criteria for the school.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

To enroll your daughter in the school, you need to complete an online application and pay a registration fee of £150. Please note that the registration process closes in October of the year before admission.

As part of the admissions process, we will require a copy of your daughter's year-end school report. Additionally, there will be an online test, a writing assignment, and an interview. Usually, in November, the written assignment and interview take place on the same day.

Following your daughter's outstanding performance in interviews and assessments, and her well-written school report, she has been offered a spot. The offer will be sent by mail in February of the entrance year, and it must be accepted by the beginning of March. To reserve her spot, a refundable deposit of £1000 will be required.

CATCHMENT AREA:

There is no defined catchment region because students are accepted from a broad range of postcodes and, in the instance of boarding schools, from countries outside of the United Kingdom.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND BURSARIES:

Streatham & Clapham High School offers a wide range of scholarships in various areas such as academics, art, drama, music, and sports. The Head of the school has the discretion to award Academic Scholarships ranging from 5 to 20 percent of the fees. The awardees may also be eligible to apply for bursaries or specialized awards. Drama scholarships are granted based on auditions, references, performance records, and personal statements. Art scholarships require an interview and an evaluation of a sketchbook. For music scholarships, a minimum of Grade 4 or above is required. Participation in sports such as netball, hockey, rowing, gymnastics, and athletics is taken into account for sports scholarships.

The school also offers means-tested bursaries that can help with costs like uniforms and travel. These bursaries cover 100% of tuition fees and are evaluated based on the applicant's financial situation, intellectual aptitude, and admission exam scores. To apply for a bursary, you will need to fill out a 'Declaration of Income & Assets' form. If your household's yearly income is less than £37,500, you will likely qualify for a full bursary. Our goal is to support a wide range of skills and provide financial aid to ensure accessibility for all students, regardless of their background. We have an extensive scholarship and bursary program in place to achieve this.
