The test consists of math, English, and non-verbal reasoning problems, both verbal and nonverbal. The evaluation will happen on the campus of the institution. Students who advance through to the next phase are contacted for interviews.  Books, projects, or other material cannot be brought to an interview by applicants. It is requested that an applicant bring one or both of their legal guardians with them at this time.

CATCHMENT AREA:

There is no defined catchment region because students are accepted from a broad range of postcodes and, in the instance of boarding schools, from countries outside of the United Kingdom.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND BURSARIES:

The school offers scholarships and bursaries, among other forms of financial aid, to applicants who are at least eleven years old. Academic scholarships, which pay for 10–20% of tuition, are given out depending on applicants' success in interviews and entrance exams. For this category, no additional application is needed. Furthermore, portfolios and interviews are used to determine the recipients of the 10% fee-covering Art, Drama, and Music Scholarships. The school takes into account applicants' academic performance on entrance exams in addition to their creative talent when determining who gets these scholarships.

For families that want further financial assistance, means-tested bursaries are offered. Usually available to families with an annual income of under £38,000, full remission pays 100% of the fees. All of the child's academic years are covered by these bursaries, provided that their behavior and development are up to par. Fostering an inclusive and varied educational environment is demonstrated by the school's support of students' financial as well as academic requirements.
